Lowstern is on the B6480 Clapham to Bentham road, a quarter of a mile from the junction with the A65 (Clapham bypass).  The cottage is in a small plantation on the south side of the road and is approached through double gates and up a short track. Grid reference SD736691.

Please park near the hut and keep the track clear so we do not block the farmer’s access to the field. This is a 5 star hut with an open fire and immaculate cooking bedding facilities.
There are just 16 spaces available in two rooms. Cost is £12 per person per night. No Dogs allowed in the hut, however, you can camp in the field outside but will still have to pay full price. Drinks and Food are available at the New Inn in Clapham LA2 8HH which is a 1km walk away
What to do
Superb walking and climbing in the Yorkshire Dales National park as well as caving trips if you so wish. An excellent range of trad and sports climbing is just a short drive away, as well as some major rock routes at Malham and Gordale scar.
You will need to sort yourselves out with shared transport, and I will open up at 4pm on the Friday.
